Well, the day has finally arrived. The weather gods shined on us and we left Cove Haven Marina in Barrington on Saturday, June 4. It has taken weeks of preparation and lots of lists but the boat is finally loaded. We probably have too much stuff but there always seems to be room for one more thing...just in case.
With fair weather, we motored under Jamestown bridge and headed over to the Pawcatuck River-a seven hour trip to spend the night on a mooring in front of Michael and Diane McQuade's home. It was great to spend an evening with them after so many hectic weeks of preparation.
