JUNE 5: PORT JEFFERSON, NY
An early morning departure saw us heading out to Port Jefferson in good weather and calm seas. After a seven hour trip down Long Island Sound, we found a quiet anchorage for the night inside Port Jefferson harbor at Misery Cove. Although not an enticing name, it is a beautiful spot.
