FEBRUARY: EXPLORING VERO & PALM BEACH

We spent the month of February exploring Vero Beach and visiting with our friends Joan and Reginald Patota (and Samantha of course!).  The Vero Beach City Marina is in a great central location on the barrier island and we used it as our base to continue our house hunting.  There was another Monk 36 in the marina-Elizabeth-and her crew Dave and Beth invited us to join them for the free Blue Grass Concert that is held every Tuesday during the season.   Below is a preview of the music selection for March.  We had a foot stomping good time!

Side trip to Palm Beach to see how the other half lives! We were invited to join our friends Arthur and Judy Robbins in Palm Beach for the day.  Palm Beach is the playground for the high society rich and famous.  We had lunch at a trendy restaurant and then strolled down Worth Street which is lined with high end expensive stores-al la Rodeo Drive.

Expensive items that one simply must have!  We lost count of the jewelry and watch stores!

Some of interesting side alleys off the main shopping street.

The side alleys are lined with quirky art sculptures.

Judy and Arthur took us for a drive along the oceanfront neighborhood which is lined with the most lavish homes.  Unfortunately, not in our price range!
